This morning there was a peculiar noise outdoors, someone calling what appeared to be a name. Upon investigation, I found not a soul at the gate but there was a "large, very large dog" seated out there, in front of my neighbor's house. From time to time, he raised his head and moaned a forlorn howl. "Spooky".
