At some point, those who support the military industrial complex have to realize that our nation isn't going to be able to contain the proliferation of weapons. Why? Because greedy people run weapons programs. Greedy people are doing the research to develop "new and improved" weapons of mass destruction. And greedy people want the weapons to further their own agendas, and will obtain such weapons from greedy people willing to sell them openly or through black markets. So in answer to your petulant demand to know "what if" Gareth, I say we shall reap what we have sown. And attempting to make Ground Zero a Republican shrine to celebrate MORE militarism, MORE proliferation of weapons, and MORE imperial invasions of countries to secure and control the world's oil supply so we can SPEND SPEND SPEND the profits to fuel the production of MORE weapons of mass destruction and fuel wars where we USE THEM against "our enemies", I say, for those of you who are already brainwashed by that sort of propaganda, you are just gonna love the Republican convention in 2004.
