And I agree that no one person's convictions are going to change the course of history unless that person happens to be in a position of direct decision-making power at the time (ie. George Bush, Henry VIII etc).
What concerns me is the cumulative power of millions of frightened angry people the world over, imagining and discussing and even betting on the worst to happen, as if it's inevitable. That kind of angst, en masse, adding to the momentum of a few thousand years of human warring and violence, just might be enough to tip the scales so we ALL lose. Unless we change, try something different, history is doomed to repeat itself over and over again.
GUEST I do not consider myself to be 'superior' to anyone else! Just different, I guess.
And I consider what I am doing right now, encouraging people via the internet to examine and respect the power of their own thoughts and imagination - and to use that power in a way that realizes what they WANT, instead of what they don't want, to be a pretty decent contribution for one little person to make in the 'peace' movement.
I wear buttons and write letters to the editor and take part in any local peace initiatives I can as well. But I really don't need to explain myself to you anyway, and I need to get back to work now.
