Thread Name: Gaelic - Word for 'Simpatico'?
Subject: RE: Gaelic - Word for 'Simpatico'?
Simpatico- we have dropped the feminine simpatica, hardly the PC thing to do. Neither Webster's nor the OED retains the acute accent over the letter a. Truly an English word in its present form, as Haruo says.

Another English word (since 1875) is Ceilidh, whose spelling needs to be modernized- suggest Kayley. (Looking for a place to hide)
