I see there's a thread on 'Gangs of New York' and how poor the soundtrack is. Reminds me of a film I saw during the summer - due to a re-issue for the 80th anniversary of Pasolini's birthday. It was his version of 'The Canterbury Tales' (1972) with a brilliant (though completely anachronistic) soundtrack taken from Topic recordings of singers & some musicians from all over them foggy isles. I have tried to find a track listing with a quick search but can't come up with one - does anyone have one handy ? Topic don't seem to have it out on CD. I'd be particularly interested in finding the singer and the lyrics to the song from the titles which seemed to be Irish about a fiddler only knowing one tune and his encounter with the devil.
