The other point I'd make is that I have picked up several long out of print CDs for way less than the cost of current CDs by bidding on eBay. One of my greatest finds was a CD by the Chico Hamilton Quintet which was released only in Japan... nobody else bid for it on eBay, so I got it for next to nothing. I even got a fine CD of early country music because I was the high bidder at a penny.... Mostly, it's been a long haul replacing some of my albums with CDs. Many of them were either never available on CD, or are out of print..
