I got a personal reply from the Beeb!
This was what I sent to them:
Re: BBC4 Folk Night
Thank you for a great night of music. Hopefully you will keep up this
level of commitment to various music forms, particularly (for me)
folk-roots and americana. Would you please investigate the possibility
of repeating 'Transatlantic Sessions'. The first series was networked
on BBC2, but the second was only transmitted on BBC Scotland, and many of the artists featured would appeal to the audience which enjoyed The Cambridge Folk Festival and Down From The Mountain programmes on Saturday.

To which they replied:

Thank you for your e-mail.

I am pleased to read that you enjoyed the music on BBC FOUR. All
feedback from viewers is important to the BBC as it helps us to make
decisions about future programmes and services.

There are currently no plans to screen a repeat of ˜Transatlantic
Sessions" on the BBC's terrestrial or digital channels although I will certainly register your interest for the attention of our schedulers.

Our future schedules are only confirmed up to ten days in advance,
which means it is not possible to give details for programmes beyond this period. I am sure you can appreciate that plans can change and we would not wish to give you information that could prove incorrect. If you have access to the Internet, the BBC 'What's On' website carries listings up to seven days in advance. The address is:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/whatson/

It also has a search facility that shows you when a particular
programme is scheduled so you can look for its repeat.

Once again thank you for taking the time to contact the BBC.

Regards

David Millar
