After one too many sleepless nights I wrote this...

Mouse Madness

Lights out, the house goes quiet
Now is the time for the mice to run riot!

A rattle in the kitchen
A skitter in the trash
Now scrabbling in the dogfood bag
Now from the stove a crash

The race around the baseboards
They scramble up the wall
Like hyperactive chuldren
They've no restraint at all

Sleep vanishes as I lay in bed
Listening to their ploys
How can such tiny creatures
Produce so damn much noise?
