I read an article years ago that said that the way to REALLY get clean is to soak in a bath and then shower to rinse off the film, but we all know how likely that is for most people.

Showers vary tremendously in their efficiency and controllability. We have a 60 gallon water heater and good pressure, so someone running water in the kitchen is not a problem....but I have lived places where it was a real danger!

As to preference....hmmmm....I like both, but seldom allow myself the time for a good, long bath anymore. Just the time thing, I guess. And it is far easier to wash hair in a shower.
