Subject: RE: BS: Bath Vs Shower, a gender thing?
Thanks for the tip, LH. Unfortunately, I need the water I bathe or shower in to be extra filtered. Most municipal tap water makes me sick if I don't use a shower filter (even filtered, it still plays hell with my skin). If I tried to fill the tub with water from the shower filter, A. it would be cold before the bath was filled, and B. it would cost a fortune in replacement filters to have to filter that much water.

But even if I didn't need it filtered, we don't have a good soaking tub where we're living right now. It's too short and the ends are too straight up and down for me to be able to submerse myself in the water. If I can't submerse myself up to my neck, I get cold too easily. I ain't going to all that trouble unless I can really enjoy it ;-)

The shower we have here isn't a problem though. We each try to avoid using much more than a small stream of water for other purposes when the other is taking a shower, so we don't really get that hot and cold thing. Our water pressure isn't the best, but it does the job quite nicely.

My fantasy is to have a tub that's perfect for soaking, with really good spring water that hasn't been treated with chemicals coming from the tap. I had that arrangement in some of the places I've lived in the past, and it was sublime. But I would still want to have the option of taking a shower if I wanted convenience.
