In reading a comic collectors website thread board I have learned that Al Hirschfeld has passed away at 99. He was a wizard ar characiture and the flow of pen and ink. I pretty much grew up aware of Al Hirschfelds work. My Mom would sit with me infront of magazines in the Doctors offices where I seemed to live as a 5 and 6 year old trying to find all the "Ninas" drawn into his prictures of celebrities and other famous people.

Oh well, another proof of a passing age.
