I have a tune, and this fragment of verse, from a c1760 Cumbrian fiddler's manuscript. Anyone got any ideas for the whole words? my searches have been fruitless. Presumably about a greyhound or horse.

Come all you brave sportsmen
I'd have you draw near
All to my song
You quickly shall hear
Of a wonderful match
Which appeared to our view
That was run by the gallant
