I was in the Frankie's Trade thread, but away from the computer fetching my book when my computer crashed. I thought I had nudged the modem. I had a blue screen Ctrl/Alt/Del message, but the machine just would not respond, and I had to restart it via the power switch. After running Scandisk, and resetting the dial-up options (usual if a net session is interrupted), I tried to return, only to get Max's address (only I didn't know it was). Naturally I thought it was me. I tried using other user identities: no luck. I stripped out all the history, cookies, caches etc, and managed to get in to the main page, but from there only to the help thread. I then updated the anti-virus software which took over an hour (at 11.30 on a working night, that was not welcome) (OK, I should have done it before). Then I found things were back to normal. No viruses reported, no other errors.
