Someone on the radio just said that in the not too distant future (10 years-ish) there will be more Spansh than English speakers in the US. Now he was making the point that the UK should align itself more with Europe than the US and that a common language may not be valid soon so I don't know if I believe him. On the other hand I have heard that Spanish would enable you to communicate with more Americans (Including South Americans) than English would.
Anybody any facts and figures to substantiate or refute the claim? Any views?
