Hi all. I saw this announcement in a newsgroup and thought it might be of interest to someone here.

The Edward Johnson Music Foundation in Guelph, Ontario is looking for a =
professional musician for their Grade Four Musicians in the Schools =
pilot project 2003-2004.

The Edward Johnson Music Foundation takes professional musicians into =
school classrooms to actively involve children in making music. Using =
hands-on, experiential workshops that connect directly to the Ministry =
of Education curriculum the goal is to excite and enthuse children about =
music.

This position involves travelling to schools in Guelph and Dufferin =
County to present one-hour workshops to Grade Four students. The pilot =
project will begin the Fall of 2003 and will be presented to 15 =
classrooms. If it is successful, it will be presented to 100 to 120 =
classrooms the following year.

The applicant should be a professional musician with experience in =
performing or presenting workshops to children at the Grade Four level. =
Knowledge of the Ministry of Education curriculum and experience in =
workshop development, creating study guides and doing professional =
development with teachers is an asset.
