In November I rescued a 13-year-old dog gentleman at the Humane Society and just today they asked me if I'd consider taking a 13-year-old marmalade cat too. My idea is that if an animal whose options are narrowing can be given a happy ending that's reward enough, mo matter that the chance is great that there will be an eventual loss to me.
