I read about the BugBear here the day after I got an attachment that slipped through - I have a policy never to open attachments immediately and if I don't understand the extension I wait a day or two. I updated Norton immediately after. You have to update daily to reduce the risk but it's all about percentages - you can't be faster than the AV s/w house.
