The Tap & Spile chain of around 30-40 pubs was sold off to Enterprise Inns (Britains lagest pubco) about 4 years ago . Since then most of them have retained the name. In Beverley they held a poll amongst customers a couple of years ago on the premise that the pub should revert to its original name of the Sun. The vote was about 92% for changing the name back - and it was changed
