Subject: RE: BS: Give Peace a Chance
Contemplating peace is very important. But it would be dangerously naive to think that, combined with a positive attitude, it is sufficient enough to successfully fight "evil" or "negativity" or whatever one wishes to call the holocaust underway in this world.

Bush/Hussein is only the current (temporary) saturnian face we put on evil/negativity. But that face has been with us for a very long time in the US, so acceptance of what we must personally do about it in our daily lives is what is most important, not simple retreat and contemplation, IMO.

Contemplation must be joined with right, positive action for the contemplation to be effective. That is what all the great spiritual leaders teach us. Right action should be the direct result of contemplation. We can't just retreat and contemplate. We must retreat to contemplate, in order to know what our right, positive action will be. That is why, the Dalai Lama and Gandhi tell us, we contemplate. To get ourselves to the right action.

Here is another beautiful, hopeful sign (and there are millions of them surrounding us everyday, if you just would turn off your damn televisions. I think this one is my favorite so far--I really love it:
