I wandered into Wash DC in 1977, and in '78, went to the Getaway, just to see what they were all raving about..haven't missed it since. It is different than it used to be..(the average age has gone up..*grin*)..but always nice....music till all hours..(well 'some' hours for the wimps)...fire in the fireplace...walks in the woods, places for kids to run..Debbie's food..(with help from US)...there are 'planned' workshops with topics, make-your-own workshops...and just pickin' under a tree or on a porch...you never know, but you are seldom disappointed...

(and..it should be cheaper than last year!!)
