Susan-Marie--there are always LOTS of kids, including several near-in-age to yours. More than a playground--we've got acres (and acres) of woodlands your child can safely roam around in, without worry about cars, and a few adults who are always organizing treasure hunts and other activities for the children. Definitely a child-friendly atmosphere!
