It would be nice to have some more information on the song. It doesn't appear in the usual indexes, and I really don't think that the lyric is of any significant age.

It's worth mentioning that "A song from Ross to finish the side. A classic, almost fairy tale lyric wherein the fine young clan chief is slain in battle" (above) refers to the song The Yellow Haired Laddie (which isn't either of the usual songs of that name), not to Dream Angus.
