I stand by what I said. Nic Jones was a revival singer, not a tradition-bearer. So is Chris Smither. You would be wise to listen to him a good long while before you dismiss him. He knows his stuff and he grew up in blues territory. I believe he matches Jones for talent and also for the way he makes it possible to hear songs freshly. Thinking that white people can't sing the blues is a fairly narrow view.
