Well, though I pooped out about 2:30 Saturday morning and by 3 on Sunday morning (after Flip Breskin's "slumber party," complete with those fuzzy balls you throw at each other), I managed to get run down enough to develop a nasty cold by Sunday evening and have to use most of Monday for catching up on sleep. But it was hard to find time for a nap between workshops, meals, and song circles.
Personally, I enjoyed the concert Sat. night. Lots of great talent, humor, good songs, etc., and a lot of variety. I do wish they'd have a small amplifier available, though, since a few people were hard to hear in the big room (with some ambient noise at times). This was more of a problem in the Friday night big song circle, since there was a lot more extraneous noise then. Even some of the "big-voice" folks were hard to hear at times on Friday night.
Rob Lopreski, Zeke Hoskin, and some others sang some hilarious original songs, and quite a few folks introduced me to other folks' really funny parodies. I'll have to post some of them here if they're not already in the forum.
All told, my first time at Rainy Camp was great -- over 'way too soon.
