I remember Mad Magazine did a parody of LOTR years ago, when the Ralph Bakshi cartoon first came out. Their version was a musical too, full of songs sung to the tune of....

I remember one that started, "We are four hobbits just out for a stroll..." (I don't remember the tune it went to, though). I do remember it was pretty funny... at least back then.
