One more thing...
I met a new musician friend this week.
I have never had this explained to me before...this way..

He said.....Play the E chord...with your
little finger and fourth finger and middle finger...
then....
slide down one fret....
and use the pointer as the bar...
and thats how I have been practicing and
surprisingly finding it easy...to play my bar chords.
