Good songs like good writings sometimes make you feel that you're there. I can think of many examples. In "Folsome Prison Blues," for example, I can always see the "...rich folks eating in a fancy dining car; they're probably drinking coffee and smoking big cigars." In "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," I always see the lit-up purple sky and even the robin weep. When I see these images I sing with more feeling. I always see them and they always look the same.
