Subject: RE: BS: Jed's concert and singaround-pics!
let me do it this way..just some notes about the pics by #

***703-708, of course, are scenes during concet...Dick Greenhaus and Susan of DT are in the front row, with Ferrara at far end by the fireplace...at the back corner of fireplace is Nancy King, who posts occasionally...in 706, you can see SongBob. who posted to this thread, and who is in the redshirt (also in 715,playing the old, beat-up guitar..*grin*...he looks long & hard for old guitars like that)...in 706, in the chair by the front door is Nan Goland, who also plays left-handed guitar in other pics..(she does wonderful country/gospel etc stuff)...the guy with the viola is Ron Davies who is getting quite a reputation for melodic backups, etc, on slow tunes, and sings a lot also..(several of the sing pics are during "Faded Love", with Ron standing and leading it)....in the corner during the sing you can see Marv & Kathy Reitz on string bass & guitar..and in one pic, he is playing clarinet..(scholars bicker over whether is better on guitar of clarinet, but EXCELLENT on both...Marv may know more songs( especially rare country stuff) than anyone I know..)...Our host was T.J. O'Malley, with the silver hair, goatee and pretty guitar (at far left in the room)his wife, Julie plays bass guitar in 712

Dottie Hurley is playing the banjo-uke, and does an amazing variety of songs..(she sang one in Hawaiian, followed by T.J/, who couldn't resist adding "Let's Talk Dirty in Hawaiian") The guy between Jed and SongBob is Barry Schlesinger, who knows REAMS of folk, pop from the 50s & 60s..etc..and has an almost photographic memory for lyrics...in 22 years, I have seen him stumble maybe twice..

Pic 710, is, of course MMario, and Jack the Sailor & Carol C.

the lady in 706 in the pink & blus striped shirt, and in other pics is Gail Schneider, who is blind and knows lots of English music hall stuff, as well as many folk songs. She has song sheets in Braille she sometimes consults. ...to her left in 706 is David Sheim, who plays a large wooden harp,(which he did not bring to this evening, but which was featured at Fortunato's, where I did not make it...David can jam on the harp to almost ANY music...Celtic especially..(he was to have been a featured performer at the cancelled Minifestival)

in 707, to Ferrara's right, is Lucy Goldberg (also played guitar, but not when I was shooting pics)

Jed, you know..*grin*...and Chance/Fortunato in the LOVELY hat! His wife Suzette(709) plays autoharp, as do I occasionally, but I didn't bring mine and was busy...*grin*..

who did I miss? (there are several folks I did not know)
