Pubs will apply for licences for the sale of alchohol. Music is included in this price, whether they have music or not. This is not a music issue per sa, but an alcohol licencing issue. If this price is more than in previous years then that could be a cause for debate.

Where music benefits is that prior to this Bill pubs DID need a licence- now they get one whether they have music or not.
For one who supports creative arts, I consider this to be a good move.

But I do agree that the way the BIll has been portrayed by the Government has created concerns.
