1st 'crush'..Margaret Holder..3rd grade...daughter of the local fire chief. She was assigned to help me adjust to the school I had just transferred into, and I was smitten. I sat behind her, and stared at her long, golden hair.   

And then one day, I actually dipped her pigtail in my inkwell! (and you thought that was only in cheap novels!) I don't think she ever knew...I know she never consided ME seriously...*grin*

1st semi-adult crush with testosterone involved was in 2nd year of high school...she was gorgeous, smart, popular, busy and, I figured, unattainable. (though she was always pleasant & polite to me!)

Years later, I heard in a roundabout way, that my name had come up in some conversation, and she had mentioned that she always wondered why I have never asked her for a date!!...arrrgghhhh!
