Thread Name: BS: what's blooming ?
Subject: RE: BS: what's blooming ?
Well, with 2 fett of snow, not much outside but inside we have one amaryllis with two big white blooms. First time it's bloomed in the three years we've had it. Talk about a shy plant. Heck, ya gotta baby the danged thing all year, store it in the basement and then move it from one window to another every day to get them to bloom.

Also have a few dark red blooms on a Christmas Cactus. The pale pink one bloomed a few weeks ago.

Speaking of indoor plants, the P=Vine went to the Richmond (Va) Plant Show on Friday and brought back the latest indoor rave: A year 'round maiden Hair Fern that some one has hybidized. Purdy neat.

Also, if anyone has a source of the outdoor Maiden Hair Fern that is not "fan shaped" and is hardy, I'm interested.
