Thanks all for help and sympathy--I am in the despondency phase now, as the insurance company has reversed, and now claims they won't cover anything--mercifully, flood losses are tax deductable--

I am assembling a list, but won't have it for a while--I still have water coming in that I have to deal with, on my own it turns out. I've set up a temporary record mortuary and am drying stuff out so that I can pull the stacks apart in a way that the jackets are still readable--

It seems almost absurd that I should be disturbed by the lost record jackets(the records, push come to shove, can still be cleaned and played) but they give the discs their value, both sentimental and monetary--

Most upsetting losses are that old Vanguard Mississippi John Hurt double album and "The Marcels Blue Moon"--The latter having been one of my first albums ever--

I keep reminding myself that this is just stuff--It isn't a real tragedy, like the nightclub fire in RI--just stuff--
