Not MacColl's best. Oddly enough it reads like a translation - of the sort that is more worried about getting a one-for-one accurate version of the words, rather than standing back to get the overall feeling right. Not that I'm suggesting it is a translation, but it plods along.

Contrast it to Peggy Seeger's Ballad of Che Guevara (which I've never heard sung - anyone know the tune?).
