You're right on the money, guest, whoever you are, when they said it was about show business. They get it right every now and then, but wrong more often than not.

And Latino migrant- nothing wrong with latin music, not my cup of tea personally, but just don't expect it to get the push and coverage you're looking for until the mostly white, older guys that run the music entertainment business see the potential dollar signs and money in their pocket. It's still LA and NY that is going to decide what is worthy of coverage.

I thought the rising was okay- nothing more. The mix seemed very lackluster. My problem with that whole disc- and understand, I love Springsteen- was he had really good songs and lyrics and buried them in 1980 production- I would have loved to have heard these songs in a more stripped down, almost Tom Joad type setting, or at least with a lighter band sound. But as me granny used to say, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one! (and last time I checked, I hadn't gotten any messages from the Boss asking me what I thought!)
