I have permission to post this to Mudcat and since I am having computer trouble, I was hoping someone would move it to Mudcat when it comes back up.
MUSIC OPPORTUNITY FOR FOLKIES
Folksinger Michael Johnathon and the WOODSONGS OLD TIME RADIO HOUR (or WSOTRH) is planning four special broadcasts of our live-audience, syndicated show on grassroots music later this spring and summer:
WOODSONGS KIDS: We are looking for bluegrass, classical, blues, songwriters... talented kids 6-16 years old for our fourth pilot taping of this show. It will air as part of the WSOTRH (over 400 stations). Nobody wins anything, nobody comes in second, no body is judged. Just music and art because kids love to play and grown ups love to listen!
MUSIC ACROSS AMERICA: A special WSOTRH showcasing artists of various genres from across the USA.
MUSIC ACROSS CANADA: A special WSOTRH showcasing artists of various genres from across Canada.
MUSIC ACROSS KENTUCKY: A special WSOTRH showcasing artists of various genres from across Kentucky.
ARTIST SUBMISSIONS: You must have a CD of your music available to the public (for young artists submitting to be on WS Kids, we just need a cassette). You do not need a record deal or national distribution. We do not care if you have a manager or agent, who you opened for or what famous person once recorded a song on the same studio board you used for your album. All that matters is your music, your passion and your desire to introduce yourself to 500,000 radio listeners in 32 countries.
The show tapes at the historic Kentucky Theatre in Lexington, KY. More details provided to artists selected for the broadcast or visit woodsongs.com.
Send your CD to:
