Why would I doubt you? I see the old thread. Meanwhile, here's my twopence worth:
There's a reference to it in Sam Henry's "Songs of the People" ((Huntington/Hermann) ... but only to say that his (unpublished)version of it is from "Songs of the Hebrides" (1909).This reference is ascribed to the bould John Moulden. If he doesn't pick up this thread I'll drop him a line to ask for details.
