Germany is not the first country which springs to most people's mind when you mention comedy. However, there is a really thriving "Kabarett" scene here and some wonderful comedy bands. I don't know the piece above - although it looks quite promising. There is a brilliant A Cappella group from East Germany (Leipzig I believe) called Die Prinzen. They sing wickedly funny (and often very rude) songs in perfect choirboy harmony. Very different sounding - more like a punk rock group - are Die Ärtzte (The Doctors). I am not sure that I would go to them for a check up, but they are very funny too.
"Männer Sind Schweine" ("Men are Pigs") was a big hit a few years back. I have often wondered if you could get away with anything that rude in the USA - or even Britain for that matter.
