Subject: Deirdre Scanlan's CD - A MUST BUY
At long last we can announce the debut CD of Deirdre Scanlan.

The launch of Deirdre's CD will be held in the Roundhill pub near Nenagh (between Nenagh and Bridhill on the Limerick Road) on July 2nd at 9:30pm.

This is a fabulous recording and is a must for everyone interested in traditional song. There is something for everyone here. Beautiful tradition in both Irish and English and a number of original songs which are guaranteed to move anybody. Her rendition of her own song, Dunblane, is simply incredible as proved by the response of the audience when she performed it in the Goílín singing club in May.

The tracks on the album are as follows;
1. Leaving of Limerick
2. Siúil a Rúin
3. Sliabh Geal gCua
4. Ned of the Hill
5. From the Grave
6. Willie Taylor
7. The Great Atlantic
8. Bruach na Carraige Báine
9. May Morning Dew
10. Dunblane
11. The Parting Glass

From the Grave, The Great Atlantic and as previously mentioned, Dunblane, are Deirdre's own compositions. Here, Deirdre proves to be as gifted a writer and composer as she is a uniquely splendid singer. With both talents coming to bear on these three tracks they are without doubt the most memorable and moving songs on this wonderful recording.
SPEAK SOFTLY is a MUST BUY.
