If not, the Capri Motel, which is in the Marina district, not too far from the wharf, has very reasonable rates. Another alternative is to volunteer at the fest. Then, you and your daughter can sleep aboard ship on the premises and eat at the volunteer dinner before the chantey sing. As Charley noted, the chantey sings are still going. I'm the ranger who has been leading the sings since '96. You might remember the ranger in '84, Dave Nettell. The sings on festival night are always well attended and much fun.
