I'm not sure I'd agree with your analogy though. I could argue the way you see the books in the bookshop is a view.

You don't know for example in a shelf of fictional books whether the organiser knows the difference between romance and crime novels or not if they are all mixed together. It could be that they do know and have decided to mix them up or that they have no idea.
