HORNPIPES. Hmmmmmm ~~ That reminds me of a Hornpipe that I wrote several years ago for a friend (as if the world needs another hornpipe). I called it Havlena's Hornpipe. He subsequently renamed it the (Humbolt~Clarksburs Hornpipe). A few years later I was playing through a section of a book containing THOUSANDS of Irish songs. I ran across the (Lamplighter's Hornpipe) and by golly it was almost identical to the one I had written. How in the world did that happen???? I have no recollection of having heard that tune before.
