Why was there such a short lead time for nominations?   I am sure thare are lots of british folkies from places other than around St Albans who would have put in a nominations for various catagories especially those of clubs and festivals. It seems a little odd to have just one catagory to cover all folk fectival from the big commercial ones such as Broadstairs to the small folk weekends such as Crediton, Miskin, or Grove, none of which had a mention.

Having only just opened this thread I find I have missed the deadline. I would have placed Andy Barnes in the best drinker catagory for his ability to completely miss a camping stool by a couple of foot when trying to sit down, not spill a drop when "landing" on the floor, then carrying on drinking and singing as if that was where he intended to be all the time.



And where's the catagory for folk poet?
