I have worked with people with Learning disabilities for nearly 30 years, and it is so difficult to find a name that they can relate to, is adult, and not childish (we in the buisiness call it age appropriateness). And be aware that someone with speech difficulties can say it. That's why I'm known as Bron rather than use my full name. Peter T's ideas are good, but try saying them with your mouth full, thats how difficult someone with Down's would find it.
