Naemanson and I are rolling down to NYC the weekend of April 12th to have good fun! We understand there's a shanty sing Saturday evening, 8 pm, at the Seamens Church on Front St. at the South Street Seaport. Neither of us has ever attended this event and we would welcome advice on how it is run. We both like to lead shanties and other sea songs but it's always useful to know upfront whether people take turns singing, or if only the most aggressive get to sing.

We'll actually be rolling into town Thursday evening, staying with my brother's family in Brooklyn. Maybe we can help organize another get-to-gether for Friday evening if anyone is interested.
