I kinda think you're right there, Doug -- there is a strong element of anti-Saddam sentiment in the South (Shi'ite), a strong elemnt of anti-Sadaam sentiment in the northern Kurdish enclaves, and a strong sense of being strong-armed into amenable silence in a lot of other parts, i imagine; when the threat of torture, rape and "disappearance" is alleviated it will be interesting to see what the voiced opinions of Iraqis are.
