Speaking of pools, when I was married and owned a house, a 100 years ago, I had a large swimming pool in our yard. I put a sign up for my Grandchildren. It said:

"We call this an 'ool'. Do you know why? "'Cause there's no 'P' in it." "Let's keep it that way,OK?"

I eventually gave the pool (it was an above ground pool) to my daughter and her family. They still call it an "ool".
