Well, I will note that wherever I've parachuted into there has usually been one person locally who has been a key contact. In Australia it was Bob Bolton, in San Francisco Richard A. and Chantyranger, in Portland-West Genie/Barbara and Jonathan Lay. But I'm not sure who we should count on as our local guide/coordinater for NYC. Maybe it's just too big a nest of neighborhoods.

Sigh... Fortunately I used to visit the place when I was much younger and have the illusion that I can find my way around. My brother and I would come in on the train for Easter vacation and stay with my grandparents in Brooklyn Heights in a converted carriage house next to a fire station. The grandparents were both artists and did a great job of taking us to museums and for us exotic restaurants, and broadway shows which were always free for us because of their artistic connections.

We will follow up Eric's lead and plan to be at the Radio Mexico early Saturday evening on 4/12, but it really would be nice to know that someone else was planning to be there too.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble
