In San Francisco over 100 people, most of whom led songs, attended the shanty swap aboard the schooner Thayer. What kind of turnout should we expect in NYC for the April 12th swap?

It would be intriguing if we all took turns singing variations of the same song for the entire evening...;~)

How are the accoustics of the space? Is the shanty session the only thing going on or is there a TV with CNN/football blaring away? We used to sing songs one place where there was an active dart board, the field of fire of which transversed the circle. It was exciting...if you got the point!
