Profit, in truth, is that which actually benefits the whole community...and the whole community includes Nature as well as Humanity (who are a part of Nature). This is recognized within the framework of a family (hopefully), and a society should best be seen as an extended family, not a bunch of isolated individuals looking out for number one.

That takes us back to "intelligent altruism", which Amos and I were discussing as the best course to follow awhile back...
