I haven't seen this mentioned here as yet. My copy arrived in the mail yesterday. You can find the details by CLICKING HERE. 'An untamed sense of control' is a companion volume to the earlier 'High Lonesome Sound' CD [SF CD40079] and, like it, is drawn mainly from the 3 Folkways albums - 'High Lonesome Sound [FA 2368], 'Close to Home' [FA 2374] and 'Music of Roscoe Holcomb and Wade Ward' [FA 2363]- plus a couple of live recordings. Four of these tracks - 'Across the Rocky Mountains', 'Graveyard Blues', 'Coney Island' and 'True Love' - have been reissued previously on the 2CD set of 'Kentucky Mountain Music' [SF CD 40077], but that leaves 22 tracks new to CD. That now gives a total of 46 tracks of Holcomb's wonderful music on CD.

As far as I can see, there are now only 2 tracks from the 3 vinyl albums left unissued on CD: 'In London City' from 'Close to Home' and 'Charles Guitau' (sic) from 'High Lonesome Sound'.

This is remarkable music.
